Compilation of first ‘Status Report on Community-led Action on Sustainability and Climate Change in Europe’ continues

(8 August 2018) – Work on ECOLISE’s first Status Report on Community-led Action on Sustainability and Climate Change in Europe is well underway. A small team – involving Gil Penha-Lopes, Tom Henfrey and others – have been assembling core information and creating a framework describing key movements, issues and impacts. We’re now moving into a second, more collaborative phase where ECOLISE members, partners and allies will be invited to help increase the depth and breadth, including country studies, case studies of important initiatives and more detailed reviews of specific topics.

This will begin in earnest around the time of the European Day of  Sustainable Communities, with the launch of the draft report and an open call on September 24th (1430-1600 CEST) about how to contribute to its further development. We’ll continue creating and integrating content until December, ready to launch the final version at the start of 2019. All the information will continue to live and grow on our wiki, a key element in our knowledge commons, an open source resource for collaborative knowledge production to support the work of ECOLISE and all our member networks and initiatives.
