We will be opening the doors of our ecovillage community for visitors to see the ecovillage, our innovation and cooperation projects, to contribute with some practical work such as harvesting and enjoying eco-fika and a cultural programme in the sun.
One special event during the day will be the 4 pm theatrical performance “Lysistrate” / “Aldrig ger vi upp” written and directed by Swedish playwright Stina Oscarson. The play traces the women of the peace movement. From the fight for voting rights to Alva Myrdal’s nobel prize to Pussy Riot. The performance contains both seriousness, humor and a lot of singing and music. The performance lasts about an hour and is aimed primarily at young adults and women, but it is interesting and important for everyone to see!
While it will be performed 4 times on Gotland during the week, this performance on a stage facing the Tofta military base during Aurora 17, the largest military exercise in Sweden in 20 years will be unique.
