(07 December 2016) – On 2 December The Scotsman published an article by May East, the Chief Executive of Gaia Education, on the urgent need for climate action.
Recently the Commonwealth Secretariat launched a new initiative: “Regenerative Development to Reverse Climate Change”.
An initial two-day meeting brought together biologists, ecologists, oceanographers, systems thinkers and other leading experts on carbon sequestration, circular economy and regenerative development.
According to May East, “the Commonwealth can lead the way by working across policy and discipline areas to restore our land and sea ecosystems and address migration. For millions of island inhabitants, it is a race against time, a race we must win.”
