A new collaborative project on collective energy transition began in Turin, Italy last month, with ECOLISE as a partner. COMETS (Collective Action Models for Energy Transition and Social Innovation) is focussed on researching the impact of Collective Action Initiatives (CAIs) at European level for energy transition and social innovation, and proposing tools and methodologies to support that process.
ECOLISE’s role is to develop a platform for CAIs on energy transition, and support the overall process by bringing the perspective and expertise of many community-led energy transition initiatives.
Juan del Río, Network and Outreach coordinator, and Tom Henfrey, Research Coordinator, attended the launch meeting on behalf of ECOLISE. COMETS is a three-year Horizon2020 project with 12 partners from eight countries. It is being led by Turin University. “We will keep you updated on this new adventure and soon share the project website with more information,” says Juan.
COMETS is ECOLISE’s second Horizon2020 project (the first being UrbanA).
